A Creative Director/Writer for over 25 years, Barbara Newman’s iconic work has left an indelible mark on contemporary brand culture. She’s written award-winning campaigns that have been featured at Cannes, and has developed content across multiple media platforms for global brands around the world. Documentary film credits include, Burning The Future: Coal in America, which received the International Pare Lorentz Award for best social documentary; HBO’s Dear Talula, short-listed for the Academy Award. Barbara’s current production, called Cowgirls Are Forever, will be the first feature-length documentary to illustrate the evolution of the cowgirl, and how her spirit and accomplishments have impacted contemporary American culture. It is due for release in late 2017.
Lori Stoll is a notable photographer, writer and director who quickly became a sought-after celebrity and advertising photographer in the late 80's. Her photographs of popular icons Al Pacino, Anthony Hopkins, Ray Charles, Michael Jackson and MC Hammer were ubiquitous at the pinnacle of their careers. Her assignments in national publications have included Time, Newsweek, Reader’s Digest, Redbook, Life, Entertainment Weekly, Playboy, People and Rolling Stone, and much of her work is syndicated worldwide. In 2014 Lori wrote and directed her first feature, “Heaven’s Floor,” which premiered at Cinequest earlier this year.
Jared Cohn is an award-winning writer, director and producer - specifically in the sci-fi and horror genre - with such credits to his name as Atlantic Rim, Buddy Hutchins, 13/13/13, Jailbait, Born Bad and the last Sharknado movie. This year alone Jared has released five new films – all very different in style and tone. The first, Wishing for a Dream, is a personal project that Jared collaborated on with real-life partner, actress Sara Malakul Lane. The second, Little Dead Rotting Hood, is Asylum’s take on the classic fairytale. March sees the release of his film God’s Club starring Corbin Bernsen, Stephen Baldwin, and past AAR guest Lorenzo Lamas. Just recently we saw the release of the action movie The Horde, as well as Death Pool, an American Psycho-esque thriller. Cohn produces most of his work via his company Traplight Media.
