Beth Harrington is an independent producer, director and writer, whose fervor for American history, music and culture has led to a series of award-winning and critically acclaimed films. Beth’s most recent works, The Winding Stream – The Carters, The Cashes and The Course of Country Music and the Grammy-nominated Welcome to the Club – The Women of Rockabilly, reflect her long-standing love of music. A rock and roll singer and guitarist, she is most noted for her years as a member of Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers on the Warner Bros. Sire Records label. Beth currently lives in the Pacific Northwest, where she works with Oregon Public Broadcasting, producing, researching and developing shows for national air, including the popular PBS series History Detectives.
A Creative Director/Writer for over 25 years, Barbara Newman’s iconic work has left an indelible mark on contemporary brand culture. She’s written award-winning campaigns that have been featured at Cannes, and has developed content across multiple media platforms for global brands around the world. Documentary film credits include, Burning The Future: Coal in America, which received the International Pare Lorentz Award for best social documentary; HBO’s Dear Talula, short-listed for the Academy Award. Barbara’s current production, called Cowgirls Are Forever, will be the first feature-length documentary to illustrate the evolution of the cowgirl, and how her spirit and accomplishments have impacted contemporary American culture. It is due for release in late 2017.
Jared Cohn is an award-winning writer, director and producer - specifically in the sci-fi and horror genre - with such credits to his name as Atlantic Rim, Buddy Hutchins, 13/13/13, Jailbait, Born Bad and the last Sharknado movie. This year alone Jared has released five new films – all very different in style and tone. The first, Wishing for a Dream, is a personal project that Jared collaborated on with real-life partner, actress Sara Malakul Lane. The second, Little Dead Rotting Hood, is Asylum’s take on the classic fairytale. March sees the release of his film God’s Club starring Corbin Bernsen, Stephen Baldwin, and past AAR guest Lorenzo Lamas. Just recently we saw the release of the action movie The Horde, as well as Death Pool, an American Psycho-esque thriller. Cohn produces most of his work via his company Traplight Media.
Lorenzo Lamas is an American actor well known for playing Lance Cumson on the 1980s soap opera Falcon Crest (Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor), Reno Raines on the 1990s crime drama Renegade, and Hector Ramirez on the daytime soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. He’s starred in dozens of movies (most recently Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!), served as a judge on ABC television's Are You Hot? and starred in his own reality show, Leave It to Lamas, a series about his real-life family. In 2014 he published his autobiography, Renegade at Heart, and last year starred as a cast member on the reality TV show Celebrity Apprentice.
Bill Allen is a TV and movie actor and musician, most well known for his role in the 1986 film RAD as BMX racer Cru Jones. Bill has also appeared in TV shows such as Hill Street Blues, Family Ties, and Breaking Bad, and in movies such as Born on the Fourth of July, Astronaut Farmer, and Brothers. Bill has toured extensively for the band The Pipefitters with his harmonica, alongside actor Lou Diamond Phillips.
