Jon Potter, Entrepreneurial Attorney and Advocate

Jon Potter is an Entrepreneurial Attorney and advocate who has been helping clients accomplish business and public policy goals for more than 20 years. In January 2010 Potter launched RPG Strategies, a boutique consulting firm that develops advocacy campaigns and organizations and provides strategic public and government affairs support. From 1998 until 2009 Potter founded and led the Digital Media Association. On behalf of Amazon.com, iTunes, Rhapsody, Pandora and many other members, Potter led successful industry efforts to modernize copyright law and ensure – through negotiation, arbitration, legislation and the SaveNetRadio campaign – fair royalties for Internet-based entertainment services.

Potter is an accomplished public speaker who has testified before Congress and regulatory agencies many times. He was named a Top Technology Lobbyist by Legal Times and an “Unsung Hero of the Internet” by Interactive Week magazine.  Jon Potter is also the President of the Fan Freedom Project. Fan Freedom Project is a consumer education and advocacy group that promotes and protects the interests of live event customers. FFP is particularly focused on consumer ticketing rights, and ensuring that consumers own the tickets they purchase and have all rights associated with ownership.

Mike Galaxy of Band Promote

Mike Galaxy of Band Promote, was born in LA, raised in Portland, Oregon and returned to Los Angeles in 1990. Mike Galaxy was the drummer for 90s LA rock band Vinyl. He starred in two national commercials. The first was for Mazda's MX-6 in 1993, then in 1999 starring as himself in a series of Union Bay Clothing spots. He was also the first ever Internet VJ/DJ hosting a music program on the short lived Spike.com.  

Band Promote is a boutique Promotions & Marketing company focused on music promotion, print & online media support, placement and licensing for film, TV & ads on behalf of independent labels, independent artists and production companies.
